Alumna Jessica Sidisky presents BAHS seminar

Dr. William Coleman and alumna Jessica Sidisky
It was a pleasure to welcome back Alumna Jessica Sidisky, BS. Biology (2013) and MS Biology (2015).  Jessica, currently a doctoral candidate in neuroscience at Lehigh University, presented a seminar at the weekly BAHS seminar series on Friday, February 14, 2020. At Lehigh, Jessica studies a gene in drosophila named MayDay and its role in sustaining BMP signaling required for synaptic maintenance with age. At BU, Jessica was active in the Pre-medical Sciences Club and Tri-Beta Biology Honor Society. She was named as one of the 2015 Outstanding Women of Bloomsburg University. She conducted research  in the laboratory of Dr. William Coleman where she studied the proteins involved in the trafficking of synaptic vesicles in axon terminals. It was great to see you Jessica and learn what you have been up to!
