Jean-Nicole Place earns top award at Tri-Beta Convention

Jean-Nicole Place earned top honors for her poster on Gng 7 methylation in human breast cancer tissues at the Tri-Beta District 2 convention held at Ursinus College recently. Jean is the recipient of the John C. Johnson Award, given to the top poster presented at the conference. Jean will represent the district at the National Tri-Beta Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota from May 30 to June 5, 2016. Jean's research was conducted in the laboratory of Dr. William Schwindinger and was funded by an URSCA award that she received. Jean, a senior biology major, is the secretary of Bloomsburg University's chapter of Tri-Beta and is a student secretary in the Department of Biological and Allied Health Sciences. Congratulations Jean!
