research at the BAHS seminar series.
BAHS welcomed back Dr. Jonathan Busada, an alumnus who graduated in 2010 with a BS in Biology. While at BU, Jon conducted research on EPHA2 overexpression and tumor cell migration in the laboratory of Dr. Angela Hess. Jonathan earned his Ph.D. in anatomy and cell biology at East Carolina University in the laboratory of Dr. Christopher Geyer. His work focused on  the differentiation of spermatagonial stem cells. Jon is now a postdoctoral research associate (PRAT) fellow in the laboratory of Dr. John Cidlowski at the National Institute of Environmental Health Science (NIEHS/NIH) in Durham, North Carolina.  Jon's postdoctoral research examines the role of glucocorticoids in suppressing gastric inflammation and metaplasia.  Jon presented a talk on September 22, 2017 at the BAHS seminar series entitled "Endogenous glucocorticoids are required to suppress spontaneous gastric inflammation and metaplasia." Congratulations on all of your success Jon! It was great to see you again.
