Beverly Andre presents at the PA Academy of Sciences Meeting

Beverly's work examines the effects of acaracides,
 pesticides used to treat mites, on cellular stress in honey bees.
Beverly Andre, a biology, pre-medicine major, presented her research results at the 93rd Annual Meeting of the Pennsylvania Academy of Sciences on April 1 at King's College at Wilkes-Barre, PA/ Beverly presented a poster, coauthored by Drs. Surmacz and Hranitz from the Department of Biological and Allied Health Sciences and Drs. Ibrahim and Selvi Cakmak from Uludag University, Turkey. Her presentation on "Sublethal Effects of Acaracide Treatments in Honey Bees" was well received. Her work was supported by undergraduate research grants from Tri-Beta Biology Honor Society and the Pennsylvania Academy of Science.
