BAHS Students present research at SVURS

BAHS students, recipients of BU's Undergraduate Research, Scholarly and Creative Activities award (URSCA), conducted research this summer under the guidance of BAHS faculty.  They presented research along with their collaborators at the Susquehanna Valley Undergraduate Research Symposium at at the Elaine Langone Center at Bucknell University on July 26, 2019.

Kayla Sompel. Determining the Dose Effects of Vemurafenib and Dabrafenib on Human Melanoma Cells. Mentor: Dr. Hess

Lakota Wadena. Autumn Gut Contents of Allegheny Crayfish and Rusty Crayfish Introduced in Eastern Pennsylvania. Mentor:  Dr. Klinger, Professor Hartzell.

Kyle Mausteller.  Investigating the Role of Subtelomeric CTCF in Telomere Stability. Mentor: Dr. Beishline.

Tara Full (Chemistry/Biochemistry) and Ian Whiteside. Effects of BORIS on TERRA transcription. Mentor:  Dr. Beishline.

Michael Facella and Sierra Smith. Microplastics Found in Deteirivores at Different Geographic Locations of Freshwater and Saltwater. Mentors: Drs. Klinger and Hranitz.

Jessica Paoletti and Victoria Roper  Parental Foraging Effort of Tree Swallows (Tachycineta bicolor) in different chick age classes. Mentor:  Dr. Green.
