3D Imaging in Medicine

Edward Stefanowicz presented a fascinating seminar on  “Applications of Medical 3D-Imaging"on October 12, 2018 to a packed house of BAHS students and faculty and radiography students from Geisinger’s School of Radiologic Technology. Ed is the Regional Director of the Geisinger Neuroscience Institute where he has operational oversight of Neurosurgery and Neurology in the central region of the Geisinger network. He serves as manager of the Geisinger Health System’s 3-D imaging department and the MRI department. He is the team leader of the 3D post processing lab and radiology 3D print lab. In the seminar, Ed described the cutting-edge technology of 3-D printing including examples of how it is being used clinically in the Geisinger Health System.  Ed is a 2008 BAHS alumnus of our medical imaging program, receiving his clinical training at Geisinger’s School of Radiologic Technology. He earned his MBA from Bloomsburg University in 2017.  Ed was employed as an MRI technologist for 4 years in the Geisinger Health System.
