Jade Hensinger selected as Outstanding Senior in Allied Health Sciences


Jade Hensinger was selected as Outstanding Senior in Allied Health Sciences by the Department of Biological and Allied Health Sciences in recognition of her scholarship, leadership, and service. Jade, a pre-physician assistant major will enroll in the physician assistant master’s program at Thomas Jefferson University. She is a certified nursing assistant and has extensive healthcare experience.  In the future, she plans to specialize in surgery and gerontology. Jade was named to the dean’s list each semester at Bloomsburg University. She has received the Biology and Allied Health Scholarship and the Phi Kappa Phi recognition award. Jade was inducted in Tri-Beta Biology Honor Society and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Jade has extensive leadership experience serving as both secretary and president of Tri-Beta Biology Honor Society and as an executive board member and match secretary of the Bloomsburg University Women's Rugby. She Completed Level 1 and 2 of the Leadership Certification program  through the Center for Leadership and Engagement and was a member of DASL, Developing Ambitious Student Leaders. Her campus activities have included the Biology and Allied Health Club, Bloomsburg Women’s Rugby, the Health Science Living and Learning Community, peer tutoring, intramural softball, and student membership on the academic grievance board. Jade as served the greater community as a volunteer at various blood drives, the SPCA in Danville,  Camp Vicotry, Haunted Husky Hallow, and Bocce Bash. Congratulations Jade!
