Applications Being Accepted for Research Experience for Undergraduates in Turkey and Greece.


Applications are currently being accepted for students who are interested in studying bees and pollination systems in the Republic of Turkey and Greece.  The research program is entering its 10th year and has collaborations with several universities in western Turkey and eastern Greece.  The program involves a research mini-course in Oklahoma for three days followed by departure to Istanbul.  The group visits historical sites in the Dardanelles as it travels to research sites in Greece and Bursa Turkey.  Application deadline is March 13th 2015.    Support is provided through a National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates Grant to the University of Central Oklahoma and includes travel to all research sites, daily expenses, housing, and a salary stipend.  Students with interest in the behavior, ecology, and molecular biology of insects are encouraged to apply.  Underrepresented minorities are encouraged to apply.
