Dr. Venditti is the new assistant dean of CoST

Dr. Jennifer Venditti
Dr. Jennifer Venditti  has been named the new assistant dean of the College of Science and Technology. Dr. Venditti is an associate professor in the Department of Biological and Allied Health Sciences and has been on the faculty since 2010. She earned her B.S. in Biology from Shippensburg University and her M.S. in Biology from Bloomsburg University. Dr. Venditti earned her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Lehigh University, where she specialized in reproductive biology and cell biology.  Her research focuses on sperm cell biology. Her collaborative research with Dr. Coleman and BAHS alumnus Adam Kulp was the first to investigate the localization and functional role of synapsin in sperm, a protein typically associate with neurons, and  was published in FEBS Open Bio in September 2015. Dr. Venditti received the Provost’s Award for Excellence in Research/Scholarly Activity in 2013. She served as the Health Sciences LLC coordinator, chair of the College of Science and Technology Recruitment Task Force, and chair of the Health Sciences Symposium Committee.  Dr. Venditti developed the course Introduction to Health Care Practice, a health science elective that offers students background preparation, training, and practical skills to work in a health care setting. She also teaches Human Biology, Endocrinology, Introduction to Health Care Practice, and laboratories in Concepts in Biology I, Anatomy and Physiology I and II, and Cell Biology. Dr. Venditti has taught previously at Lehigh University, Penn State Lehigh Valley, and Kutztown University.  Congratulations Dr. Venditti!
