Meet our new Allied Health Coordinator: Dr. Jennifer Venditti

Dr. Jennifer Venditti,
BAHS Allied Health Coordinator
Dr. Jennifer Venditti, associate professor,  has been named the new Allied Health Coordinator in the Department of Biological and Allied Health Sciences.  She earned her B.S. in Biology from Shippensburg University and her M.S. in Biology from Bloomsburg University. Dr. Venditti earned her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Lehigh University, where she specialized in reproductive biology and cell biology.  Her research focuses on sperm cell biology. She has mentored over 15 students in research and has acquired nine internal grants to support her work. Dr. Venditti and her students have presented their research results at local, regional, and national meetings. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals including FEBS Open Bio, Biology of Reproduction, International Journal of Andrology, and Molecular Reporduction and Development. 

In addition to her new role as Allied Health Coordinator, Dr. Venditti also is the Director of the Health Sciences Learning Community. She served as Assistant Dean of the College of Science and Technology from 2016 to 2018. She received the Provost’s Award for Excellence in Research/Scholarly Activity in 2013. In the College of Science and Technology, Dr. Venditti has served as the chair of the Recruitment Task Force and the Health Sciences Symposium Committee.  In the department, Dr. Venditti is a co-advisor of the Biology and Allied Health Club and chair of the Search and Screen Committee. She developed the new courses Introduction to Health Care Practice and Health Science Seminar.  She also teaches Human Biology, Endocrinology, and laboratories in Concepts in Biology I, Anatomy and Physiology I and II, and Cell Biology. Dr. Venditti has taught previously at Lehigh University, Penn State Lehigh Valley, and Kutztown University.  Dr. Venditti replaces Dr. Judy Kipe-Nolt in this position.
