Emily Ashberry defends Master's Thesis

Emily Ashberry kicked off the BAHS Fall 2019 seminar series by successfully defending her Master's Thesis on August 30th. Emily's work investigated the environmental context of algal priming of coarse particulate organic matter decomposition in streams. Emily's research on local streams was under the direction of Dr. Steven Rier. She presented the results of her thesis meeting at the international meeting of the Society for Freshwater Science. Emily is the first graduate of BAHS 3 + 2 Masters program. Congratulations Emily!
