BU faculty featured at the BAHS spring semester seminar series

Drs KLinger and Venn
Dr. Klinger and Professor Hartzell
Professor Sean Hartzell, BAHS adjunct faculty, and Dr. Cindy Venn, professor in the Department of Environmental, Geographical and Geological Sciences, gave presentations at the spring semester 2020 BAHS seminar series. Professor Hartzell summarized his extensive research on local crayfish with a talk entitled A Tale of 2 Species: A year in the life of a native and non-native crayfish (And what they eat.)  Dr. Venn's presentation on the Natural History of Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego was highlighted by many photos and personal accounts from her travels to this region over the years. BAHS sends our best wishes to both faculty members  as they embark on new adventures. Professor Hartzell will take a new position with the Northumberland County Conservation District. There he will work as a delegate for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection to review permit applications and inspect constructions sites for erosion and sedimentation control compliance. His work will help keep sediment out of our streams, rivers, and wetlands. Dr. Venn heads off to retirement where she plans to travel to far-off places that include Southern California,Chile, and  Patagonia.
