Jade Hensinger and Nathan Feiertag
BAHS celebrates Jade Hensinger and Nathan Feiertag, two BAHS majors who graduated with a 4.0 GPA and were named as the College of Science and Technology's Honor Graduates. Jade and Nathan, along with Speech Pathology and Audiology graduate Megan Stewart  had the honor of leading graduating seniors from the College of Science and Technology during spring semester commencement. Jade was selected as Outstanding Senior in Allied Health Sciences by BAHS in recognition of her scholarship, leadership, and service. Jade, a pre-physician assistant major will enroll in the physician assistant master’s program at Thomas Jefferson University. She is a certified nursing assistant and has extensive healthcare experience.  In the future, she plans to specialize in surgery and gerontology. Jade was named to the dean’s list each semester at Bloomsburg University. She received the Biology and Allied Health Scholarship and the Phi Kappa Phi recognition award. Jade was inducted in Tri-Beta Biology Honor Society and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Jade has extensive leadership experience serving as both secretary and president of Tri-Beta Biology Honor Society and as an executive board member and match secretary of the Bloomsburg University Women's Rugby. She completed Level 1 and 2 of the Leadership Certification program  through the Center for Leadership and Engagement. Nathan, a B.S. Biology, pre-medical sciences major and chemistry minor, is a recipient of the Dr. Stephen Schell Scholarship to support preparation for the MCAT exam.  Nathan was a member of the BU Varsity basketball team and was recognized as a scholar athlete.  He received a Phi Kappa Phi  recognition award for outstanding performance in the freshmen year. Nathan  was inducted into Tri-Beta, the biology honor society, and the honor society of Phi Kappa Phi. He was the vice-president of Tri-Beta and was elected vice-president of the Pre-Medical Sciences Club. Nathan was a research scholar at Lehigh Valley Hospital where he worked in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology to assess the reliability of a videotaping technology tool for assessing the surgical competencies of residents in laparoscopy. He has shadowed at Sacred Heart Hospital and a Lehigh Valley Hospital, volunteered at Maria Joseph Continuing Care Community, and is a certified EMT.  Nathan will attend Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
